Since we began supporting Quentin Debois, weโve spent a lot of time following his crossings. And every time, we find something of our own craft in them.
Quentin doesnโt cross the Atlantic on the fastest boat. He does it on a Mini 6.50 that is solid and reliable, prepared down to the smallest detail. Because out at sea, top speed isnโt what matters. What matters is what goes the distance. At IDEATEC, we design our products with exactly that demand in mind. On-board equipment has to work when no one is left to intervene. Reliability isnโt an option; itโs the condition.
Thereโs also what you see less of. Behind a solo skipper stands a team on land. A router, a technical preparer, constant support. The achievement looks individual, but itโs collective in reality. Thatโs an idea we recognise ourselves in.
And when something goes wrong, a damaged rudder, an unexpected depression, Quentin doesnโt give up. He adjusts his course and keeps going. Thatโs exactly the mindset that drives us forward.
If we believe in his project, itโs because it resembles our own: ambitious, demanding, but achievable. Thatโs why weโve decided to support him all the way to the end of his adventure. Next stop, the 2028 Vendรฉe Globe.
We believe in Quentinโs ability to make it happen. Just as we believe in our own.
